Everything went {almost} perfectly… the sun was being naughty… and it got dark way too quickly.. but we got there in the end… we captured some beautiful portraits of the whole family & some adorable ones of the children All in all a very good time was had

Day 228 – 17/8/10 – Awesome August – I just love the relationship between Dante and Elyssa… he adores his little sister and its becoming apparent that she adores him right back ♥ – AWESOME that he loves spending time with her… here he is showing her how to play with the nintendo DS {his sisters mind you}

Day 229 – 18/8/10 -  Awesome August – OK… so sometimes it might be hard to find something awesome for the day… this could have been one of those days…. work all day {bookwork so boring} and I picked up Dante early from school and he repays me by having a major meltdown…. so the AWESOME part was that after much tears, drama & screaming…. my poor tired boy fell asleep & how can you not just melt when you see that ♥

Day 230 – 20/8/10 – Awesome August – Wow… the last 4 years have gone by oh too quickly… my little man is about to have a birthday…. AWESOME that I have spent some of the most amazing, beautiful, special times with my little boy…. here he is showing me how old he still is today! ♥

Day 231 – 21/8/10 – Awesome August – Happy 4th Birthday Dante ♥ What can be more AWESOME than celebrating the birthday of your own little baby… ok, so he is not technically a baby anymore but he will always be my baby boy! A great day was had by all… ice cream cake… lots of pressies & to top it off Dante voted twice {once with Daddy, once with Mummy}

How often does one get a federal election on their birthday…. and how often does that election end with a hung parliament…. its a day for firsts

Day 232 – 22/8/10 – Awesome August – D-Mans Birthday Party!! What an AWESOME day we all had I got to see my big brother Dale & my gorgeous little nephew William ♥ … Ellie was such a good girl all day.. got lots of cuddles to keep her happy as everyone was lining up for their turn And the birthday boy had a great time… here is his birthday cake for this year… I kind of cheated and made it really easy for me… but he loved it

Day 233 – 23/8/10 – Awesome August – I was actually considering skipping taking a photo today.. but I was fooling around with my point and shoot and Miss K just happened to be straight in front of me…. at first when she thought I was taking photos of her she was hiding… but then when she realised I was just playing about she started being silly… hmm… well you be silly in front of my lens and I am bound to capture it… lol… AWESOME!!

Just excuse the grain… next to no light and on the P&S its not a good combination!

Day 334 – 24/8/10 – Awesome August – Immunisation day… yep thats right… D-Man was 4 years old so that meant he was due for immunisations… I like to get these things dealt with and out of the way quickly so off we went… he was very good and very brave… he did have a little cry to begin with saying “Mumma I don’t wanna get a poke”… bless his little cotton socks… afterwards though he proclaimed “it didn’t hurt that much, it wasn’t that bad” So… it is totally AWESOME that he was such a big brave boy… and even moreso that he was a happy chappy all afternoon as well ♥

Day 235 – 25/8/10 – Awesome August – Yay… after taking 9 months to decide on a dining suite & another 12.5 weeks for it to be delivered…. it is finally here! ♥ LOVE! So thankyou to all of our lovely wedding guests whose wedding gifts help toward purchasing this very much needed piece of furniture…. our last one was literally falling to bits! So what could be more AWESOME for the day than my new addition

Day 236 – 26/8/10 – Awesome August – Kids and the internet… I do believe the girls were checking out celebrities… lol… I think its AWESOME to see them getting along as these days its a rare occurrence…. girls!

Day 237 – 27/8/10 -Awesome August – Daffodil Day – with cancer touching so many lives these days I make a special effort to donate and help where I can…. today I purchased daffodils and a lapel pin… it may have only been $17 but if every person helped just a little it helps….

Miss B’s favourite colour is yellow…. so who better to be my model for the day than her… holding her yellow daffodil in her yellow T-shirt – AWESOME!!

Day 238 – 28/8/10 – Awesome August – I will admit right from the start that I did not take this photo… its no self portrait… but taken by my sweet Miss K Thanks sweetness, love you to bits ♥

After feeling dowdy and needing a new me… I finally got the hairdressers and let the lovely Karen do her magic as she always does… lost about 6 inches of length and I am pretty sure there was alot more hair on the floor than left on my head… lol…. so here I am with my AWESOME new hairdo

Day 239 – 29/8/10 – Awesome August – La la la la, la la la la… elmos bike!! Yep thats right…. I am the very proud owner of a very shiny, very red elmo bike! I was lucky enough to win this AWESOME new bike in a competition so that makes it even more cool…. but you can’t get much more cooler than a full size womens Elmo bike ♥

Yay…. so there is it…. up to date… for tonight I can bask in my glory… as of tomorrow I will be behind again no doubt…. life does tend to get away from me sometimes… I have a big week ahead of me… finishing off with a photoshoot on Saturday and on Sunday… well everyone knows its fathers day… but for us, it is also our one year anniversary…. very special  Enjoy your week everyone

Day 216 -  5/8/10 – Awesome August – Well you would be forgiven for wondering what could possibly be awesome about this day…. My spunky little D-Man went into hospital for a little operation. He did really well beforehand… played the playstation whilst he was waiting to be called down for surgery….. we went down… I got suited up to take him in… he was still doing well…. until we walked into the theatre room…. and there were all these strange people dressed up just as strangely as his mummy…. thats when things went downhill… he got very teary and wouldn’t lay down so we had to sedate him whilst sitting up… thats when mummy got teary too

so… what is awesome I hear you say…. well it was totally awesome that after the surgery Dante was all smiles… it was awesome how all the nursing staff kept saying how great he was and how well mannered and well behaved he was… and it was awesome that within 2 minutes of being back in his bed he was asking to play with the playstation again Thats my boy!!

Day 217 – 6/8/10 – Awesome August – Not alot happening for the day… I spent the day working on our financial books so nothing exciting…. miss Ellie was an angel and had some good stretches of floor time which is quite unusual… but AWESOME…. just a quick snap for the day.

Day 218 – 7/8/10 – The family went on a search and play day… we went and checked out a couple of places… first one was a potential photography site… a winner… the second one was a potential park to play at…. another winner… Hidden World on the North Side of Brissie was massive and AWESOME… the kids had a ball

Day 219 – 8/8/10 -  Awesome August – Car wash day… horrible lighting but I had no choice…. not the best pic but it will have to do… the AWESOME part was that I got out of washing the car {well both cars actually} because Ellie was awake and I had to hold her as she was a grumpy girl…. so this pic was also taken with baby in arms

Day 220 – 9/8/10 – Awesome August – Absolutely AWESOME that my son will give me this spunky little look… ♥ lol And yes I realise that the focus fell on his hands.. oh well, thats life! Still love this shot!

Day 221 – 10/8/10 – Awesome August – After the rain had a long hiatus… we were blessed with two days of it pouring down {shame for those at the Ekka} AWESOME!!

Day 222 – 11/8/10 – Awesome August – My sweet little princess giving mummy cheeky grins… now that is definitely AWEOME!

Day 223 – 12/8/10 – Awesome August – Ekka fun day… the whole family spent the afternoon and evening at the Ekka…. Awesome that I got to see my photos which were on display… especially the ones that came 4th and 2nd Awesome that the kids had so much fun… and AWESOME to have been able to get this photo….. its not what you know but who you know and we are lucky enough to know someone who works for channel 9… so the girls got to go behind the ropes and sit at the channel 9 news desk at the Ekka there were very pleased with themselves Thanks Jeff! xx

Day 224 – 13/8/10 – Awesome August – I had the great pleasure of having my good friend Ann visit from NSW… she brought her two adorable little girls {she is a braver woman than me} how AWESOME is it to have a friend who cares that much for you – that she would brave a 2 hour flight with 2 young girls, by herself… just to visit with me and meet my little princess… thankyou Ann you don’t know how much that meant to me… ♥

Day 225 – Awesome August – OK… so I am cheating a little bit here as technically this photo was taken the next day… BUT… it still represents the day My little D-Man with his TWO little girlfriends Zarie & Kitarni ♥ They didn’t always get along but what kids do…. AWESOME to have such beautiful kids ♥

Day 226 – 15/8/10 – Awesome August – With my dear friend Ann visiting from NSW for the second time this year we wanted to make sure we actually got some photo time in this time… with Ann being a photographer too it makes sense that we would get photos… last visit this wasn’t the case… so after a fair bit of bribery we managed to get our two 4 year olds to sit still together long enough to grab a few quick snaps… but that was it.. lol AWESOME that we had such a beautiful clear morning to enjoy the morning before Ann had to jump back on her plane.

Day 227 – 16/8/10 -  Awesome August – The beautiful & very smiley Elyssa Paige… spending the day with her mummy & sharing her beauty & her happiness…. you can’t get much more AWESOME than that ♥

Day 197 – 17/7/10 – With D-Man’s behaviour going a little downhill recently I am implementing a star/reward chart…. I bought some stickers to use on the chart & as luck would have it they are way too big… so since D-Man had been behaving himself a lot better he was rewarded with the sticker book itself.. lol

Day 198 – 18/8/10 - Its the simple things in life that bring the most pleasure… like a straw with a plastic propeller attached…. it started out with D-Man and mummy playing… then daddy joined in… then when the girls got home they joined in too and we had much, much enjoyment

Day 199 – 19/7/10 - D-Man’s quilt…. aliens on one side and animal safari on the other.. he loves it Just as well because I had major baby brain while making it… hence all the mistakes!

Day 200 – 20/7/10 -  This morning I had the pleasure of attending a special morning tea for the top achievers of Miss K’s high school…. a proud mummy moment of course… very proud of my beautiful smart girl!

Day 201 – 21/7/10 – I saw this little face washer this morning and just had to get it… and who better to model it but the beautiful Ellie herself ♥

Day 202  – 22/7/10 – Happy 2 month birthday to my beautiful Princess Elyssa ♥ My how time does fly… its hard to believe that it has been 2 full months since I was pregnant & looking forward to meeting my beautiful girl!

To mark the occasion….. she had her immunisation I know, how mean… but it had to happen and today was the day… it wasn’t planned that way and I did feel a little guilty….. but in reality it won’t matter to her what day it is. so here she is…. 2 months old… as precious as can be… filling my heart with love every single moment! ♥ ♥ ♥

Day 203 – 23/7/10 – I got a wonderful surprise in the mail today… the 2009 book of winners for the AIPP awards…. full of wonderful images full of inspiration… ♥

Day 204 – 24/7/10 – My mischievous little imp… he had just spent close to 2 hours following his big sister Bella around and just bugging the heck out of her… why??… cause he felt like it… lol

Day 205 – 25/7/10 – We had a great afternoon…. Bella went with a friend to Australia Zoo so the rest of us went to the Centenary Rocks Festival…. we had a great time… the kids went on lots of rides… jumping castles/slides, dodgem cars, ferris wheel, piggy train, mini roller coaster…. D-Man also tried his luck on the duckie game and won himself a big fuzzy snake There was also a great car show with some really fancy & cool cars… I loved this Monaro hich had this cool under bonnet gear… check it out! Never seen anything like it before!!

Day 207 – 27/7/10 – This is what makes everything worth it… the beautiful big baby smiles of my little princess…. makes the lack of sleep and the post baby body… and the leaky (.)(.) & the wakeful nights…. it makes it all worth it ♥ ♥

Day 208 – 28/7/10 – Ellie hasn’t really been a fan of the swing up until now…. well she was ok in it when she was a really newbie…. but then decided she didn’t like it much… but I was able to keep her in it for about 10 minutes… she was fascinated by the bird and a rainbow on the side mesmerised

Day 209 – 29/7/10 – It was a long long day… Ellie would not sleep much… 30 mins at the most… then awake and very grumpy for up to 1.5 hours…. so I had to do everything with baby on board… so I cooked dinner… even cut the tomatoes… whilst holding a baby… its amazing how well you adjust to doing things whilst holding onto a baby…. anyway, this part of dinner was quiche… not the easiest thing to make whilst holding onto a grumpy little baby!

Day 210 – 30/7/10 – We awoke in the morning to find Brisvegas under a blanket of thick fog…. the fog didn’t lift until very late morning to reveal a beautiful and very warm winter day…. leaving home at 9am the fog was still very dense &a funnily enough I found this cobweb on the passenger side of the car….. never noticed it until it was flecked with moisture… raced in to get the camera and get a very quick snap

Day 211 – 31/7/10 – What a great day…. we started out by picking up my baby sister from her hotel in the valley…. she is from NSW so very exciting to see her again…. we ten went and bought ourselves a nice new pram/stroller – we needed a new one as our big tank was too big to fit in the car when everyone was there…. this one folds up nice and compact… we decided on a Maclaren … we then had coffee and cake with Naja {my sister} … dropped her back at the hotel…. then we went to check out a new park We are making it our regular mission to check out a new park every week or two… today we chose a great one… great for family AND for photography so I am very pleased indeed… its nice to find a little gem like this one

anyways… we played a while, whilst we were there… D-Man had a ball… he rode his bike around the track… I happened to run into a camera club friend which was a nice surprise… and Ellie loved just cruising around in her pram enjoying the fresh air All in all it was a very nice day

Day 212 – 1/8/10 – Awesome August – I think its totally awesome to have my three best girls loving each other so much…. the love I see between them all fills my heart ♥ ♥ Awesome!

Day 213 – 2/8/10 – Awesome August – I think its totally awesome that some people have to bribe their kids with lollies or chocolate… I bribe mine with watermelon…. I also think its awesome how I can get my girls to be really silly even though they know the photo will probably end up on the internet ♥ Double awesomeness for the 2nd of August!!

Day 214 – 3/8/10 – Awesome August – I think it is truly awesome when your baby won’t sleep & is very very grumpy – but then you put her in her cot for only the 2nd time in her life & she lays there quietly for 15 minutes then dozes off peacefully! ♥ Melts my heart!

Obviously I didn’t want to wake the sleeping grizzly bear so this is the ONLY photo I took {she stirred so I took off outta there} and it was taken with NO light!

Day 215 – Awesome August – What is totally awesome about today was having the courier bring me this beautiful HUGE canvas googie! It is a very large 30×40 inch canvas to try out a new company to supply my many wonderful clients…. I have to say, everyone needs a canvas this size… it really is something!! ♥ I decided to get one of my very own wedding & this is one of my faves ♥ ♥ ♥ Awesome!!

I will have to leave it there for now…. I have a few things to get done today and time is fast running out… whats new… lol I will try to get back and finish the updates tomorrow…. or later today if I am really lucky!

My very first shoot back was a model portfolio shoot for the absolutely beautiful Maddyson… and what a pleasure it was to! Abosolutely delightful to work with, a little shy at first but a few laughs later and she began to blossom in front of my eyes and the camera

I have known Maddyson for quite sometime and have photographed her and her 2 sisters before…. but this is by far my fave shots of her to date…… enjoy!

Day 177 – 27th June -  My new car… so glad its not white

Day 180 – 30th June -  A couple of my new baby props ♥ The hat I bought & just LOVE… the little feather piece I made & its just too darn cute!!

Day 181 – 1st July – My little miss making funny faces whilst having some tummy time ♥

Day 182 – 2nd July -  For 2 days in a row D-man has been walking around with his teddy in a hug-a-bub Just copying mummy!

Day 183 – 3rd July -  Not alot going on… D-Man and daddy went out for hours… I had no idea here they went, turns out they went to autobarn and talked all things Territory – all the things daddy wants to do to the new car… men! lol

Day 184 – 4th July -  Eclipse – I love my Twilight and had to see the newest installment as soon as I could & of course it had to be Gold Class Loved it!!

Day 185 – 5th July – After having 6 weeks off from thinking about the diabetes I had to have my followup test…. 3 needles…. I hate needles… ugh!

Day 186 – 6th July -  D-Man apparently got up at 5am, made his bed then jumped into bed with Bella ♥ This is where I found them!

Day 187 – 7th July – I have officially done my tendons in my right hand… of all the hands….of all the times…. can’t say its easy looking after a newborn with the pain I have been feeling but its bound to improve soon… had cortisone injected just after lunch and am now in this hand/thumb/wrist brace for up to 6 weeks

Day 188 – 8th July -  The beautiful Ellie having her very first sleep in the ‘big bed’ – she actually slept quite well considering she had never slept there and the room was so much brighter than she is used to Love those chubba cheeks ♥

Day 189 – 9th July – I recieved in the mail the birth announcements I won as runner up in the Facebook Shezebelle comp They are so beautifully made and look very sweet

Day 190 – 10th July -  Daddy has been wanting a Territory for about 2 years now so it comes as no surprise that he makes up reasons to drive it on the weekends…. this time he is off with D-Man {and his newly purchased bike rack} to go for a drive and a ride… they had loads of fun and thats the main thing… even if D-Man did have quite a few ’stacks’

Day 191 – 11th July -  I had the absolute pleasure of photographing my friends young daughter for some portfolio photos…. was lots of fun and she just shines in front of the camera so my job was made very easy

Day 192 – 12th July -  Little Miss Ellie all clean after her evening bath… she really does love her baths…. not so keen on the getting dressed part afterwards though… ♥

Day 193 – 13th July -  For some strange reason D-Man just kept walking around with a nintendo stylus in his mouth… as you can see he was most proud of himself… who know what runs through that little head of his!

Day 194 – 14th July – Miss B was in the 800 metre finals at school {was the only race for the day as actual sports day was being held the next day} and she came 3rd out of about 20 or so girls…. here she is straight after the race {puffed & struggling to smile} showing off her ribbon

Day 195 – 15th July – My little princess isn’t the most forthcoming when it comes to smiles… such a serious little thing she is… but recently she has been sharing them a little more freely & I have been trying for 2 days to capture one in a photo… this is the closest I have come… she did a big smile and just as I snapped the camera… she turned her head away from me…. and then she wouldn’t smile again for me… so this will have to do until I can get a better one I shall keep trying

Day 196 – 16th July -  OK so technically these photos were taken yesterday… but then I got the shot of Elyssa smiling so held these ones over to today….. saves me taking them again!

This is my “Bad Ass Bowler Bag” yes that is its real name…. and the little “Raarr” {yes thats his real name too} came with it I saw these after the wonderful & talented Danielle Hamilton bought one & had to get one for myself I bought it 2 months ago & only just took it out of the box… it arrived the day before I went to hospital to have Ellie.

I love it, its so cute & shiny ♥

Wow… I am finally totally up to date… until tomorrow of course but I will face that tomorrow… today I will revel in my greatness I am totally excited to have a dear friend of mine visiting me tonight and tomorrow… haven’t seen her since a few weeks before Ellie was born… yay!! I shall be back soon to blog more from my teen portfolio session… very exciting to be back doing shoots again…. even if it is on a small scale to begin with… but I feel almost normal again I feel so lost without a camera in my hand …. until next time

Day 151 – June 1st – My little miss just likes to be held… its all I seem to do all day… some might say she is spoilt but I just say I would rather hold her than be driven insane by her crying all the time….

Day 152 – June 2nd – Like I said, she loves to be held…. this was one of those days where she would ONLY sleep if I was holding her…. taken with my blackberry… not so easy to take a photo with one hand with that stupid phone!

Day 153 – June 3rd -  My little sweet pea just a quick snap without much thought going into it… but she still looks as cute as can be

Day 154 – June 4th – how could I go past this…. Miss Elyssa sleeps like this all the time… tucks her little hand under her chin and looks so sweet and angelic

Day 155 – June 5th – D-Man was playing in his sandpit… was having a jolly old time… until I got my camera out…then he took off and wouldn’t play anymore…. so I had to snap his tools which he abandoned instead!

Day 156 – June 6th – Finally finished Elyssa’s quilt which I started about 2 months ago… lovely and bright… looks even better IRL Snapped here on D-Man’s bed

Day 158 – June 8th -  The little princess… eyes wide… checking out the world

Day 159 – June 9th – I LOVE these bears… they are so incredibly soft… personalised with the kids names, birth dates, weight and length… the kids love them too Just got the newest addition – Elyssa’s bear

Day 160 – June 10th – I received a phone call from Miss K’s English teacher….. he was calling to inform me that she had gotten 100% in her English exam… as a reward for her hard work I did up a balloon bouquet with one balloon hiding $100

Day 161 – June 11th – Having older kids can be a godsend when its time to get dinner ready and the baby just wants company… needless to say my kids are always happy to help in that department

Day 162 – June 12th – Not my photo – This is the beautiful sign I have just bought from Creatively Captured by Hayley {Just search that name on FB} Its just beautiful

Day 163 – June 13th – I didn’t actually take any photos for the day but I did create this sweet little birth announcement for my sweet miss

Day 165 – June 15th – Time for the flu jab… besides getting a canula put in, this had to be the most painful needle I have ever gotten…. never had a needle feel like this one before… all done now!

Day 166 – June 16th – QUEENSLANDER!!!!! Yep, state of origin night… daddy sitting back watching the game whilst having sweet baby cuddles!

BTW if you live under a rock… Qld whooped NSW butts!!

Day 167 – June 17th – My little princess just laying about all bright eyed

Day 168 – June 18th – I went to pick up D-Man from school and this is what I found…. WHAT THE??? Apparently he ‘was’ spiderman…. hmmmmmm….

Day 169 – June 19th – Baby Expo!!! Had a great day surrounded by all things baby Bought a couple of things but mostly just soaked in loads of information… D-Man had fun in the play areas & spent ages in the little animal farm feeding all the animals… he was scared of the bigger sheep but loved the little lambs and piglets

Day 170 – June 20th – One of my purchases at the baby expo was a couple of Woombies…. basically its a little sleeping bag for newborns which mimics the womb…. Elyssa isn’t too keen on them just yet as she is used to being more tightly wrapped… but I am hoping after a few more days sleeping in them she will start to sleep better… first night was a shocker!!!

Day 171 – June 21st – Bright eyed and bushy tailed…. Ellie is getting past the newborn posing stage… all arms and legs… but still does cute close ups and because she is so wide eyed it makes for good eye contact looking forward to catching my first smile on camera soon

Day 172 – June 22nd – It had to happen.. D-Man has been such a good boy since Elyssa was born… he doesn’t lash out at her, he is the most loving big brother she could hope for… but he would obviously be feeling a little jealous… mummy spends a lot of time looking after Ellie and he would be missing our time together… this is how he shows his jealousy…

I found him laying in her rocker, with her blanket over him…and when I got closer I realised he was also sucking on her pacifier…. well at least one of them likes it because she certainly doesn’t… lol

Day 173 – June 23rd – It looks a little bit like she is screaming but she is actually yawning… poor little poppet was worn out… within about 2 mins of taking this photo she was sound asleep

Day 175 – June 25th – I was planning on taking a red nose day photo…. only to get one of the dreaded phone calls from the daycare… Dante has had an accident and is really upset could you please come and get him…. he had a fall on the obstacle course and his glasses had been pushed into his face and cut his eyebrow….he also had a bruise come up on his cheek later in the night
